    Speaking from experience, I got injured in the military while marching for 4 months. When marching, a oldier dig their right heel in with every step. If you overdo that, it can knock your pelvis out (right side going forward.) If left untreated, this can cause compromise on the right side, which may cause your left side to compensate, thereby pulling your pelvis to the left (the more stable side.) It would be interesting study if the majority of people with this diagnosis were once also soldiers.

Firstly “the body keeps the score“ Bessel Van Der Kolk, and secondly (and probably more relevant directly to osteopathy) “ science in the art of osteopathy: osteopathic, principles, and models: osteopathic, principles, and practice“ by Caroline Stone. I don’t know Caroline personally, but have presented at conferences where she has also presented.       The side that you’re rotated towards may make the foot evert (roll out to the outer edge). Definitely can effect shoulder too

      Hi. Thank you for your message. No, if the the left leg is the short leg, this suggests you are in a left pelvic torsion so this is the correct video sequence for you (see pelvic torsion information video). So, don’t do both sides, follow the left piriformis and right hip flexor sequence. When it straightens up (the legs are equal and the lower back symptoms reduced), then do both sides to maintain balance. Good luck !

      I’ve myofascial pain / hypertonic PF and working on abdominal / diaphragm release has helped me and my Pt to identify the torsion- tightness on left side, inactive right side seems stuck in PPT (after multiple herniations / stenosis)Still trying to determine my patterns and these are so helpful :)

    My left foot is pronated. I also find it very easy to rest my left leg on top of my right when seated, but find it impossible to rest my right on my left. Am I a Left AIC?
